Welcoming the Inaugural Energy Efficiency Day

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. – Nelson Mandela

One way to stimulate change is to raise awareness and educate those who may not fully understand the importance of what’s possible with respect to important topics. As such, improvements in energy efficiency can occur at the hands of individuals as much as it can occur within large corporations & governments.

To do so, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and a network of organizations and partners across the nation joined together to promote the benefits of energy efficiency through the introduction of the inaugural Energy Efficiency Day on October 5, 2016. This annual event shares with the world why energy efficiency is important and what can be done to help. Specifically, it will highlight the advancements being made in a variety of sectors through the promotion of wholesale policy changes, intelligent engineering & responsible investment.
